I recently moved into a house with two of my best friends. The place is affordable, but definitely needed some work in order to make it feel welcoming and like “home.” The space I was most concerned about was my room. After all, it would be the place I could relax in after a long day at work or after class, and where I’d be spending time with my fiancé in the future. The thing I knew instantly needed to go were the blinds. They were old, dirty, and abused by the previous owners. New shutter blinds were the first thing on my list. Once I replaced them, I could start renovating the rest of my room and the house. Picking out the right blinds would allow me to focus on other aspects of my room and new home, rather than the focusing on the thing I disliked the most. And it worked.
Last April fools my brother and I had stuck a rather large amount of adult nappies to my fathers truck. When he went to go to work he saw hundreds of them plastered to the outside and inside of his vehicle. The look on his face was priceless. We laughed hystarically until we spend the next hour peeling them off. My father let out a small giggle when he saw it and than proceeded to turn around and threaten us. If we hadn’t of taken them off we would have lost our camping trip and our cars for a week. So just when we thought the joke was on him, tables turned and it was on us. My father is a mellow man but the one thing no one can ever do is belittle him or fool him in any ways shape or form.
